Prof. Paramjit S. Judge served as a teacher and researcher for 37 years, and served in various institutions such as North Eastern-Hill University, Mizoram campus, Punjab Institute of Public Administration, Chandigarh, Centre for Social Studies, Surat, and presently Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. During his professional career he has held positions, such as Head, Department of Sociology; Dean, Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences; Director , IQAC; Coordinator, Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy, and Dean, Academic Affairs. His articles have been published in various national and international journals as well as his authored and edited books have been published by major publishers. He is also an eminent Punjabi novelist. He received Common Wealth Fellowship and Shastri Indo-Canadian Fellowship (twice). He was also the Dr.  B. R. Ambedkar National Fellow of the Indian Council of Social Science Research, New Delhi, for two years. He has been a committed member of the Indian Sociological Society. He rarely misses its annual conference from 1990s onward. He was the founder convener of RC-17: Social Movements. He served Indian Sociological Society as Treasurer during 2014-2015 and was Member of its Managing Committee from 2012 to 2017. He was Managing Editor of its prestigious research journal – Sociological Bulletin: Journal of the Indian Sociological Society. Jagan Karade is working as Professor and Head, Dept. of Sociology, Co-ordinator, of UGC-SAP-DRS-Phase – III and Director, Center of Social Exclusion and inclusive Policy, Shivaji University, Kolhapur. Maharashtra (India). He is Fellow of ICSSR, New Delhi. He did his M. A. and M. Phil. from Shivaji University, Kolhapur and earned his Ph. D. from University of Mumbai, Mumbai. He is the author of four books and seven edited books and many of his articles are published in reputed journals and edited books. Dr. Karade has completed Two Major Research Projects funded by the UGC, New Delhi and ICSSR, New Delhi. University, Baroda, Panjab University, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla and at present working as. Dr. Sharma held senior academic positions- Chairman, Dean Social Sciences, Director Population Research Centre, Director Institute of Tribal Studies, and Director Canadian Studies Development Programme at H. P. University, Shimla. He has been Fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla, Shastri Indo Canadian Institute Fellow, Department of Sociology, Toronto University, Ontario, and awarded D. P. Mukherjee Fellowship by Indian Social Science Association. He has widely travelled in India and abroad on academic assignments. Mohammad Akram is author of three books and has edited three volumes. He has more than two dozen published papers in national and international journals. He is teaching PG and UG students for seventeen years and has supervised several Ph.D. and M.Phil. students. He remained Convener of Research Committee 12 (Population, Health and Society) of Indian Sociological Society for four years and is a member of several academic and professional organizations. Dr. Akram has keen interest in Sociology of Health and has been working on health issues of the marginalized groups. His other areas of interest are social policy, development and education. Prof.Gurusamy, after  completing  post graduation, M.Phil and Ph.D researches in Gandhigram and Panjab University, started teaching career in 1985 in Gandhigram. His research interest includes  sociology of development, marginalised communities, inclusive policy studies, development and displacement. Participated in  many World Sociology Conferences   and Forums of sociology in several countries. One of his significant achievements is conduction of a massive Campaign Against Female Infanticide in Tamilnadu (CAFIT) during 1996-2001 and influenced enactment of PNDT Act. Facilitated establishment of UGC’s Centre for Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy in Gandhigram University in 2010  Produced 18 Ph.Ds and more than 80 M.Phils so far. Published 15 books and 130 articles/research papers in National and International journals. Conducted 21 National/State level seminars/workshops/training programs and completed 2 UGC sponsored MRPs. He had also  served as Convener of RC-07 of ISS during 1998-2006.
       He has been the  elected South East Asian Representative in RC-41 -Sociology of Population in ISA(2014-18). He also  serves at present the Executive Editor of the  Journal of Extension and Research(JER).

Dr. Arvinder A Ansari, founder convener of RC-26, Minority Studies of Indian Sociological Society, is currently serving as Head, Department of Sociology, Jamia Millia Islamia,(Central University), New Delhi. In her distinguished academic career of more than twenty years in Jamia Millia Islamia, she has taught postgraduate and under graduate students and supervised several PhD students.

Her interest areas  are Sociology of Gender,  Cultural studies, Sociology of violence,Sociology of Ethnicity & Minority Studies and  Globalization studies.She has authored/co-authored/edited several books ,her articles have been published in national and international peer reviewed journals.She is also actively engaged in research,and has successfully completed several Major & Minor Research Projects sponsored by UGC and ICSSR including two innovative minor projects sponsored by Haryana government.

Manish Thakur is Professor at the Public Policy and Management Group, Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, Kolkata. Previously, he was lecturer in sociology at Goa University (1997-2007) and a fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, Shimla (2011-13). He has published more than thirty research papers in professional journals and edited volumes. He has also authored/edited three books - Indian Village: A Conceptual History (2014), The Quest for Indian Sociology: Radhakamal Mukerjee and Our Times (2014), and Management Education in India: Perspectives and Practices (co-edited, 2017).His published research deals with aspects of water resources management, rural development knowledge institutions and discourses, research-policy interface, political culture, place of sociology in management education, social movements, intellectual history and indigenous theories. His areas of research interests are rural-agrarian sociology, economic sociology, and disciplinary practices. Dr. Thakur is the recipient of three prestigious awards – Dr. V.K.R.V. Dr Sanjay is a Law & Science Graduate, a PG in Sociology and MBA with specialization in HR, all First Division and Grade A, a UGC NET Fellow in Sociology and a PhD in Sociology. Born in the year 1967, Dr Sanjay is a Director with the UP Athletics Association & a State Coordinator of IAAF Kid’s Athletics Program. He is a vivid Sportsperson and Sports Official, having officiated at many international games. He is credited with establishing Sports Sociology in India, as also within the ISS. Dr Sanjay is further credited with making Sports Sociology inducted into the Scheme of HRD with the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.His research interests are Sociology of Sports, Sociology of Leisure, Sociology of Health & Sociocybernetics. Dr Sanjay, apart from being an old Member of the International Sociological Association (ISA), is also the sole Member from India of the International Sports Sociology Association. Shruti Tambe is currently working as Professor and Head at the Department of Sociology, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. She also serves as Director, Euroculture Programme sponsored by Erasmus Mundus at the Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune.

From 2000 she is an active member of International Sociological Association and especially an active member of RC 47 and RC 32. At present, she is the Editor of the newsletter of RC 47 and a member of their Board. At the regional Association level, she has served as a Member, Managing Committee of the Marathi Samajshastra Parishad in Maharashtra and she has also served as Editor, Marathi Samajshastra Sanshodhan Patrika for three years. Dr. Shweta Prasad completed her higher education from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi joined teaching in 2000. She is actively engaged in research in the areas of Women and globalization, Corporate Social Responsibility and Women Empowerment, Violence against women, International migration of women and their marginalization, various aspects of the Women-Technology interface including women in call centres and the empowerment/ impoverishment of women due to the application of new agricultural technologies.
She has received the "Leadership Training Award for Asian Women in Agriculture R&D" at the International Rice Research Institute, Philippines. Simultaneously, she led the social science component of the project "Cereal Systems Initiative for South Asia" (Objective 6.2)- an International project in collaboration with the IRRI, Philippines funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, the World Bank and the USAID in the eastern UP hub. She also received the UGC- Research Award (2014-16) for working on CSR and women empowerment. Earlier, she completed a UGC major research project on Women Call Centre employees. She had also completed two pioneering short-term projects at the Centre for Women's Studies and Development, FSS, BHU on Female Foeticide and the Domestic Violence. Since recent past, she is working with faculties from Michigan State University, USA and Institute of Agricultural Sciences, BHU towards establishing Gender Responsive Agriculture for Development centre at the Banaras Hindu University.

Ajailiu Niumai is Professor of Sociology in Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion & Inclusive Policy, University of Hyderabad (UoH), Hyderabad. Dr. P. S. Vivek has been a Professor of Sociology at the University of Mumbai. He has 34 years of experience in teaching and research in India and abroad. He has guided several doctoral scholars for their Ph.D degree. Dr. Tattwamasi Paltasingh is at present working as Professor, P.G Department of Sociology, Sambalpur University, Odisha. Prior to her present position she has served as a faculty at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai and at Sardar Patel Institute of Economic and Social Research (SPIESR), Ahmedabad. She has obtained her Doctorate Degree from TISS Mumbai with a UGC Research Fellowship for her Doctoral Dissertation in the broad area of Sociology of Development. She has directed several research projects related to Elementary, Secondary and Higher Education, Tribal Study, Development Studies, Entrepreneurship, Gender Studies, Evaluation and Policy Studies.
