RC 05 (Sociology of Education) of the Indian Sociological Society in collaboration with The Department of Sociology, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is organizing a special lecture titled “Towards SDG 5: Empowering Women in STEM – for inclusive and sustainable future: A Sociological Perspective” on 30th September 2025 at 3:30 PM via Google Meet (https://meet.google.com/jem-kpim-ica). The session will feature Prof. Arvinder A. Ansari, Professor of Sociology at Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi, as the speaker. She is a distinguished scholar with over 30 years of teaching and research experience, widely recognized for her work on gender, minority studies, ethnicity, and urban segregation. Prof. P. H. Mohammed, Convener RC-05 and Dean, School of Arts & Social Sciences, MANUU, will chair the session, and Dr. K. M. Ziyauddin, Head, Department of Sociology, MANUU, will moderate the event.
