Manish K. Verma is a Professor in the Department of Sociology at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar (Central) University, Lucknow. Having obtained higher education from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, he has more than 23 years of teaching, research and administrative experience. He earlier served as Controller of Examinations and Head of Department at the University apart from working as Chairperson, Multidisciplinary Groups for Evaluation of Impact Assessment Study under LARR Act for the Government of Uttar Pradesh. His broad research interest concerns Environment and Development with micro-level studies in the areas of Involuntary Displacement, Urban Ecology, and Globalization etc.
