Alok Kumar Tripathi is pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Sociology at the University of Lucknow. He obtained his Master of Arts in Sociology from Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. His doctoral dissertation is titled “Faith and Social Movements: A Sociological Study of the Ramjanmabhoomi Movement in Ayodhya.” His academic interests include the sociology of religion, social movements, debates on secularism, ethnography, and the construction of sacred spaces.
