Biographical Info
I completed my PhD in Sociology of Development from IIT Delhi in 2005. My thesis is titled “The Social Construction of Poverty: Discourses of Poverty and the Practice of Poverty Alleviation in India”. I completed a Masters degree in Gender and Development from Institute of Development Studies Sussex in 2022. I have published my research on Poverty and Gender in peer-reviewed journals. At present I work as Professor in the Department of Commerce at Jesus and Mary College University of Delhi.
