As an aspiring sociologist, I have always been drawn to the hidden textures of everyday life—those subtle patterns of power, resistance, and meaning that shape how individuals and communities experience the world. My academic journey in sociology has been guided by a deep curiosity about how society constructs difference and hierarchy, and a commitment to producing knowledge that challenges injustice and contributes to collective liberation. Growing up in a diverse and stratified social landscape, I became acutely aware of how gender, sexuality, class, caste and region intersect in both overt and invisible ways. These observations were not just intellectual curiosities but lived experiences that demanded explanation and, ultimately, transformation. Sociology offered me the analytical tools to unpack these complex realities, and it has since become both my intellectual home and my moral compass. Throughout my undergraduate and postgraduate studies, I have explored themes ranging from urban precarity and youth aspirations to gendered labor and digital marginality. My research has involved in-depth interviews, and critical engagement with both classical and contemporary sociological theory. I strive to bridge empirical inquiry with theoretical innovation, believing that good sociology not only interprets the world but also equips us to change it.
