I am an accomplished academic with extensive experience in teaching, research, and administration. Currently, I serve as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Community Medicine (Medical Sociology) at the Institute of Medical Sciences, Banaras Hindu University (BHU), a role I have proudly held since April 2017. My academic journey is deeply rooted in BHU, where I completed my Graduation, Post Graduation with a specialization in Demography, and my Ph.D.. My dedication to my studies was recognized with a Gold Medal for standing first in M.A. in 2001 and the B.H.U. Prize for topping my Sociology (Hons.) graduating class in 1999. Throughout my career, I have taken on significant leadership roles, including serving as Assistant Professor & Head of the Department of Sociology at Pt. L.M.S. Autonomous Govt. P.G. College in Rishikesh and Govt. P.G. College in Joshimath. I am an active contributor to my field, serving as an Associate Editor of the Indian Journal of Preventive and Social Medicine and holding life memberships in numerous professional bodies like the Indian Sociological Society and the Indian Public Health Association. My research has resulted in a significant number of publications, including research papers, book chapters, and a sole-authored book. I frequently participate in national and international academic events as a session chair and invited speaker, allowing me to share my expertise and contribute to the ongoing scholarly dialogue.
