Dr. Ghulam Mehdi is an Educator and Public Sociologist with extensive research experience.

He earned his PhD in Sociology from the University of Jammu, where he also obtained his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Sociology.

Dr. Mehdi has conducted several socio-economic surveys and worked with various organizations such as ASK (NGO), Amnesty International, EPOS Health India, Save the Children, and UNDP.

He has also presented several papers at national and international conferences and published articles in various journals and newspapers.

Dr. Mehdi has worked with several prestigious organizations and universities, including the University of Jammu, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Jammu, and Institute of Peace and Conflict Studies New Delhi.

He is currently a Senior Lecturer in the Education Department, UT Ladakh, and a member of several professional associations, including the International Association for Ladakh Studies, and Indian Sociological Society.
