Dr. Moumita Das is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, School of Liberal Arts and Culture Studies, at Adamas University, Kolkata, India. Prior to this, she was working as a guest faculty at Vidyasagar Institute of Health, and earlier worked as a project assistant at IIT Kharagpur. She accomplished her post-graduation and PhD from the Department of Sociology at Vidyasagar University. She published papers in the journals of national and international repute such as Indian Journal of Gerontology, Gerontologie et société, and Social Science and Humanities Open (Elsevier). Further, she published a book chapter in “The Palgrave Handbook of Global Social Problems,” Palgrave Macmillan, Springer, London. She presented various academic and research based papers at several national and international conferences and seminars. Her paper belongs to the research domain of health and ageing, social network, well-being of elderly, end-of-life care. Also, she was a reviewer in a reputed journal of Social Indicators Research, Springer (2020).
