Rajendra P. Misra

Dr Rajendra P. Misra is a media academic and researcher who brings with him 25 years of professional experience. He is currently teaching broadcast and digital media at the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC), Jammu, as an Assistant Professor. He has worked with leading Indian news channels such as Aaj Tak, India TV, Live India, and Network18, as well as newspapers including The Statesman, The Pioneer, and Amar Ujala in the Delhi-NCR region.

He holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Journalism and Mass Communication from Banaras Hindu University, and earned his PhD from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. His doctoral research on the Kashmir conflict critically examined how national media constructs public discourse and performs the Indian nation-state.

Dr Misra’s interdisciplinary expertise spans Media Studies, Conflict Studies, and Political Sociology.
