Mr. Javeed is a renowned Sociologist from the Department of Community Medicine, SKIMS, Srinagar, J&K, where he has been serving for more than last 13 years. Prior to it, he has taught in Department of Higher Education as well for about 5 years and has to his credit vast teaching and research experience. Originally, from a science background and with masters in Sociology, he possesses a distinction of having blended a diverse experience into his canvas, while negotiating his academic journey from Sciences to Social sciences. Besides M Phil in Sociology, he has qualified UGC NET and will be, shortly receiving his Doctorate in the subject with specialization in Medical Sociology. With more than 30 research publications in highly reputed and highly indexed National & International journals, he  also has a book to his credit  on youth. Further, he has also been an eminent part of various policy-oriented projects sponsored by reputed National research organizations such as ICMR, ICSSR besides state sponsored Government projects. Currently, he is teaching Medical Sociology to Post-Graduate (MD) students in the Department and is also co-coordinating a policy and National level multi-centric implementational project based on the novel concept of Labike, whereunder, he has published good number of high-indexed papers.
