I am an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology at Mount Carmel College (Autonomous), Bengaluru, and also serves as the Deputy Chief Controller of Examinations for the Postgraduate Section. With over two decades of teaching experience, I teach Sociological Research Methods, and Foundations of Sociology.
My research interests include educational migration, gender studies, youth culture, and the sociology of leisure. My research topic is “Undergraduate Students’ Migration for Education – A Comparative Study of Students in Mysore and Bangalore.”
I have presented several research papers at national and international conferences and contributed scholarly articles to peer-reviewed journals. Her recent works include studies on women entrepreneurs in Karnataka, the impact of digital fluency on students’ leisure and academic performance, and the sociological relevance of tribal leaders such as Birsa Munda in contemporary indigenous movements.
