Biographical Info

I am a sociology student currently serving as a program coordinator for the MSW program and an IKS teacher at DES Pune University, Pune. I have studied Sociology and its related disciplines very well, and previously, in my research program, I was working towards so-called tribal studies. I found myself very suitable for the professorship/post-doctoral fellowship because I have realized the colonial tendencies of sociology and social sciences in Indian academics and research. It needs decolonization in methods and subject matter. Most of the studies are being conducted on the issues and facts that the colonial representation of Indian society has produced. So, there can be actual knowledge about India and Indian society only when we use a very independent Indian perspective and method. I am trying to do it in my various research writings.
