I am a doctoral researcher in Sociology at the University of Calcutta. My academic interests include family studies, single motherhood, gender, and changing socio-demographic contexts in India. My research employs qualitative methodologies to explore the lived experiences and decision-making processes of single mothers. Professionally, I work in the social development sector,r and am involved in research writing, documentation, project managemetn and evidence-based social analysis.

She is engaged in doctoral research on the sociology of care with a particular focus on single motherhood, gendered experiences, and socio-demographic transformations in contemporary India. Her research examines the intentions and decision-making processes of single mothers in relation to remarriage, taking into account educational, spatial, and socio-cultural contexts. Methodologically, her work is grounded in qualitative inquiry and thematic analysis. Professionally, she is involved in the social sector, proposal and report writing, and documentation, with an interest in producing evidence-informed sociological insights relevant to both academic and applied settings.
