Nikhat Perveen is a sociologist and communication expert specializing in gender studies, child rights, and anti-trafficking research. Currently pursuing her PhD in Sociology at Sharda University, her research focuses on the dynamics of child trafficking in Bihar. She has worked as a State Consultant with UNICEF and Save the Children, contributing to child protection and anti-trafficking initiatives with the Department of Social Welfare, Bihar. A Ford Foundation Fellow and ICHR Junior Research Fellow, Nikhat holds a Master’s in Gender, Globalization, and Development from City University, London, and has collaborated with UK-based organizations such as Pro Diverse, Ethnic Minority Foundation, and Well Care Fostering on social inclusion and equality projects. With extensive experience teaching Technical Communication, Human Values, and Industrial Sociology at premier institutions in Greater Noida, she combines academic depth with field-based expertise, advancing gender equity, communication skills, and social justice.
