I am a second year PhD scholar in Sociology at Tezpur University. Specialising in sociology of emotions, my work focuses on the intersections of gender and intimacy, ageing, and emotional life in contemporary India. I have presented my research at several national and international conferences, engaging with themes such as gendered labour and craft, reproductive technologies and digital surveillance, folklore and cultural memory, and feminist readings of power and modernity. My academic interests include emotional governance, digital cultures, feminist ethnography, and the politics of care. I hold a Master’s degree in Sociology from Ambedkar University Delhi and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Indraprastha College for Women, University of Delhi.
