I, Ramesh Shankarrao Mangalekar, am presently working as a Professor of Sociology in the Government First Grade College for Women, Belagavi, Karnataka. I did my post graduation in the Department of Sociology, Shivaji University, Kolhapur and Ph.D. from Goa University, Goa. After being selected as a lecturer in Sociology by KPSC in the year 1992, I have started my teaching career at Government Arts and Science College, Karwar, Karnataka State. I have 35 years of teaching, research and administration experience. I become the Professor of Sociology in year 2011.

·         Sole authored three books published & 20 research papers published.

·         70 research papers presented in different conferences

·         Organized two national seminars, and one sate level youth festival

·         Completed one UGC major research project

·         07 years worked as a Principal of GFGC’s

·         02 years worked as a dean in the higher education academy, Dharwad

·         Life member of 07 academic organizations

·         Convenor, KSA RC 15 Society, Culture & Polity
