I am an Environmental Sociologist and have nineteen years of experience in higher education, both in teaching and research. Currently, I work in the areas of ‘Risk, vulnerability, spatial and distributive justice’ in the context of coastal commons in India. My edited volume with Amrita Sen titled ‘Regional Political Ecologies and Environmental Conflicts in India’ (Routledge, 2023) focuses on the regional political ecologies (RPEs) of environmental conflicts and broadly explores landscape-based analyses of political, economic and social issues which impact environmental changes, challenges and conflicts at the regional, local and micro-local levels.
