She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Sociology at School of Liberal Arts, NIU. She has hands-on experience in the field of Sociology. She has qualified reputed NET exam under various testing agencies (UGC, CBSE, NTA). She holds a Ph.D. in Sociology in the area of Gender and her area of specialization is Women and Sports. She has presented various research papers at National and International conferences and has been a student member of the North West Indian Sociological Association and LMI of Indian Sociological Society. To her credit, there are 10 research papers published in reputed journals (UGC Care-listed, Peer Reviewed). She has also published chapters in books. She also holds an online NPTEL certification in the Sociology of Development.
