He earned his doctorate in Social Work under the award of UGC-NET/JRF Fellowship, sponsored by the University Grants Commission (UGC). His research interests span social sciences, social work research, sustainable agriculture, environmental studies, gender studies, public policy, and ethnographic studies. He is also the founder and president of Bridging In Gaps Society (BIGS), a non-governmental organisation that works for child education, women’s empowerment, community development, and sustainable agriculture.
