I am a Professor of Sociology at Udai Pratap Autonomous College, Varanasi, with more than three decades of teaching and research experience. My academic interests include village studies, social change, sociology of religion, sant heritage, and cultural sociology, particularly in the context of North India. I have completed a UGC Minor Research Project and am currently associated with an ICSSR-funded research project. I have guided five Ph.D. scholars and published over thirty-three research papers in reputed national and international journals, along with a book on rural social structure. I have actively participated in numerous national and international conferences in India and abroad .
Varanasi
I am a Professor of Sociology at Udai Pratap Autonomous College, Varanasi. My work engages with themes of culture, religion, and social change, development & transformation, with a particular focus on rural and devotional traditions of North India. I have been involved in UGC- and ICSSR-supported research and have published extensively in peer-reviewed journals. I regularly participate in academic seminars and conferences at national and international levels and contribute to sociological discourse through teaching, research, and scholarly collaboration.
