Dr. Yumlembam Khogen is currently teaching as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, Manipur University (A Central University) in Imphal. He earned a Gold Medal in M.A. Sociology and holds a Ph.D. in Sociology from the Department of Sociology (CAS), Panjab University, Chandigarh. He qualified UGC-JRF and was awarded an ICSSR-Post Doctoral Fellowship (did not avail).
His area of research and teaching interest encompasses research methodology,
environmental Sociology, Sociology of social movements, sports Sociology, cultural studies and urban studies. He has more than a dozen research papers published in reputed national and international journals, eleven book chapters and two books to his credit. He has presented/ delivered more than thirty research papers/ invited lectures in national as well as international seminars, conferences and workshops. He has attended more than a dozen training workshops and short-term courses.
