Dr. Sudha Khokate completed her higher education M.A, M.PHIL from JNU, New Delhi, and Ph.D. from Gulbarga University. She has 13 yrs of teaching experience. Her area of research specialization is Gender, Health, and Education.

She has published articles in various journals. Presented papers and participated in National and International Conferences. She was also invited as a speaker and chaired many sessions at various conferences. She is an active member of the Karnataka Sociology Association. And also a Convener of RC 6: Marginalized Groups, Weaker Sections and Human Rights of KSA. She works as an Expert for an NGO called Sakhi, working on Devadasi Children and Rehabilitation in Karnataka.
