Biographical Info
Azeem Ahmed is a doctoral scholar at the Department of Sociology, Delhi School of Economics. He has formerly taught as a Guest Faculty member at Jamia Milia Islamia, Delhi. He focuses on the intersection of caste, religion, democracy, and social movements. His current research examines the role of caste organisations among Muslim biradaris (caste groups). His article on the Rayeens of Uttar Pradesh was recently published in Contemporary South Asia.
