Dr Chitra K P graduated in Social Work from Rajagiri College of Social Sciences, Kerala and completed her Doctoral studies in Social Work from Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai. She had also undergone academic training at School of Social Sciences, University of Tampere, Finland. She has more than five years of experience in the voluntary sector in Participatory Action Research in Integrated Water Resource Management and Ecological Restoration projects in addition to 12 years of teaching experience in Social Work. Currently she is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Social Work, School of Social Sciences and Humanities, Central University of Tamil Nadu in the State of Tamil Nadu. Her interest areas predominantly fall in the domains of Political Ecology, Ecological Social Work, Qualitative Research and Social Policy.
