With 1st University degree in Sociology Honours, postgraduation and M. Phil in Sociology and Ph.D in Medical Sociology and then Post doctoral work ion ageing studies(field of gerontology) and after teaching Sociology , for 38 years, Retired as Senior Faculty from University of Delhi in March 2021. Have been an international and national consultant, and still provide consultancy related to my fields of specialization, am an author of 15 books published by Springer Nature and Routledge, and chapters as well articles, and an activist for many years. Continue to be a Resource Person and an Expert with various organizations invited to deliver KeyNote Address, Special lectures, be a Panelist and a guide/advisor on various academic and research activities. Continue to be invited to submit articles for reputed journals and books and review research for reputed setups. I am Member of various government committees, professional bodies, and recipient of awards in recognition of my contributions in research, academics, and towards civil society. Invited to be a Panelist on national TV channels and Radio channels as well as have contributing articles for Indian Express, Hindustan Times, Financial Express, The Asian Age, The Tribune. Connected with few NGOs and community based organizations as Honourary Executive Board Member, Founder and Managing Trustee of Development, Welfare and Research Foundation involved with work related to quality of life issues from various perspectives.
