Mr. Francis Kulandai Raj. F, Board Member of Trust for Youth and Child Leadership (TYCL). He serves as an Assistant Professor and Doctoral Researcher, School of Social Sciences and Languages (SSL), VIT University, Chennai Campus. He is undergoing research in the field of Indian Men and Masculinity. Mr. Francis is also serving as a mentor and facilitator in one of the TYCL’s programs, ‘Gender and Positive Masculinity’, for boys and men since 2021. It is notable that he was the first youth who served at TYCL’s fellowship program; during his tenure, he coordinated Puducherry Youth Helpline and addressed more than 400 young people’s psycho-socio-economic issues at the grassroots level. He also served as an Associate Director at TYCL, overseeing operations and programs; in addition, he represented India in UN Geneva, Switzerland, at the 30 years of the convention on the rights of the child 2019. Mr. Francis specializes in intersectional research approaches, mental health sociology, gender studies, and men and masculinity studies.
