I am currently serving as a Professor of Sociology in Bhavan's Hazarimal Somani College, Chowpatty, Mumbai. I have a teaching experience  of 25 years. I have done B. A., M. A. and Ph. D. in Sociology from the University of Mumbai. I have also done M. A. in Social Work (M. S. W.) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, with a specialization in Family and Child Welfare. My areas of interest are Gender Studies, Urban Sociology and Education. I have 30 research papers published in National and International journals and conference proceedings to my credit. I have completed one Minor Research Project funded by the University of Mumbai.
