Dr. Pratyush Bibhakar (Ph.D., JNU) is a sociologist and academic currently serving as Assistant Professor of Sociology at the School of Liberal Arts, Bennett University, Greater Noida (UP). He completed his PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Trained across interdisciplinary domains, his research interests span Anthropology of Social Spaces & Built Environment, Gender & Intersectionality, and Caste, questions of dignity & Social Justice. He is the recipient of a prestigious ICSSR project on reproductive health in urban slums, and his work blends ethnographic fieldwork with theoretical depth to foreground lived experience in both academic and policy contexts. His scholarship has appeared in reputed journals including Springer Nature, SAGE, Bloomsbury Publications, Oxford University Press among other reputed publishers. He is a member of several national and international sociological associations and has presented widely at conferences across these circuits. He also writes periodically for various online media platforms.
