User Memberships:

Professor C. Raghava Reddy is a faculty member in the Department of Sociology at the University of Hyderabad. He has previously served as the Head of the Department and currently leads the Centre for Knowledge, Culture and Innovation Studies at the School of Social Sciences.

His academic interests include Science, Technology and Society Studies, Sociology of Organizations, and Sociology of Disability. He has published extensively in reputed journals such as Sociological Bulletin, University News, and Indian Anthropologist, and has contributed chapters to edited volumes. He is also a contributor to the e-PG Pathshala course on Methodology of Research in Sociology.

Professor Reddy currently coordinates a DST-supported Centre for Policy Research at the University of Hyderabad. Over the years, he has led several major research projects, including:

– Contesting Crop Sciences in the Emerging Agrarian Social Structure in India (UGC)

– Enabling the Differently Abled: A Sociological Understanding of the Development Initiatives by the State and the Community towards the Disabled in Rural Andhra Pradesh (UGC)

– eSagu – An IT-Driven Agri-Facilitator for Better Farming (funded by IIIT Hyderabad)

– A Study on Enrolment and Retention of Marginalized Children (migrant, urban deprived, child abuse) in Elementary Schools (funded by Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Government of Telangana)

He has mentored numerous scholars at the Ph.D., Post-Doctoral, M.Phil., and M.A. levels, and is currently supervising eight Ph.D. candidates.
