I am an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the International School of Management, Patna. With over eight years of teaching and research experience, my areas of expertise include traditional communication, folk and tribal media, development communication, gender studies, and social issues. I am deeply passionate about guiding students and promoting socially responsible media practices through research and education.

Dr. Sunita is an Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at the International School of Management, Patna. She holds a Ph.D. from A. N. Sinha Institute of Social Studies, Patna, and an M.Phil. from Hindi University, Wardha. Before entering academia, she worked in the media industry, which enriched her understanding of practical journalism and communication dynamics.
With over eight years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Sunita specialises in traditional and folk communication, tribal communication, development communication, gender issues, and social problems. She has also been associated with international research collaborations, including a recent project with Johns Hopkins University, USA.
Her academic journey reflects a strong commitment to promoting critical media literacy, empowering students through experiential learning, and encouraging research that contributes to social change. Dr. Sunita continues to engage in scholarly activities, seminars, and publications that bridge the gap between media studies and social development.
