I am a researcher with a Ph.D. in Sociology from H.N.B. Garhwal University with academic specialization in tourism studies, rural development and environmental sociology in the Himalayan region. My research critically examines the socio-economic and cultural impacts of tourism on local communities with particular attention to gender participation, migration dynamics and livelihood transformations in Uttarakhand. My work combines empirical field research with interdisciplinary perspectives to understand contemporary social changes in mountain societies. I have experience in social impact assessment, community-based research and development-oriented projects and have contributed to academic discussions through research publications and presentations at national and international conferences.
I am deeply committed to bridging academic research with policy discourse and sustainable community development, particularly in the context of tourism-led transformation and environmental challenges in Himalayan communities.
