Dr. V. Sreemannarayana Murthy is an Associate Professor in the Department of Sociology, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. His areas of specialization are Subaltern Studies and Social Movements. He published 25 research papers, one book and one edited volume. He guided 8 Ph.Ds. He is involved in paper setting and evaluation of Telangana Public Services Examinations. Earlier he had a stint of 8 years as Assistant Professor at the UGC Centre for SAARC Studies, Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. He worked on ethnic issues in South Asia having conducted field studies in Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan. He has executed four major/minor projects.
